Kylian Mbappe sends a message to his former team-mate Edinson Cavani

Kylian Mbappé has sent his best wishes to Cavani but insists their friendship are going to be placed on hold when Paris Saint-Germain face Manchester United within the Champions League.

PSG begin their European campaign at home to the Red Devils on Tuesday night and Thomas Tuchel’s men are going to be wanting to send a message of intent after falling at the ultimate hurdle last term.

The French champions have gone on a five-match streak after a pair of worrying defeats in their two opening games of the Ligue 1 season and can fancy their chances against Man Utd side who have also endured a mixed start.

Cavani is the all-time record scorer with 200 goals in PSG .

Asked whether it'll feel weird facing his former team-mate, PSG forward Mbappe told Telefoot: ‘Not in the least , he's during a different team now, I wish him the simplest .

‘We are getting to play against him and check out to beat him.’

Cavani says it'll be a ‘beautiful’ moment if he does make his debut against PSG next week.

‘I am getting to experience an exceptional moment, that no-one thought would happen,’ he said.

‘It are going to be a fantastic thing, beautiful emotions.

The Uruguay international added: ‘I had tons of various opportunities, i used to be excited to play within the Premier League and even more so for Manchester United.

‘I am very motivated because I always want to play the maximum amount as possible, work, train and provides the simplest of myself.’
